Health Packages
At SunMed Clinic, we manage potential health risks by providing specific screening programmes and personalised medical consultation.
In addition to personalised consultation, the health screening programmes comprise of a comprehensive physical examination combined with laboratory tests. This enables personalised assessments of both communicable and non-communicable diseases to individuals undergoing these health screenings. This includes reviewing measures to detect obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, gout, blood disorders, thyroid illnesses, kidney disorders, liver disorders, raised cancer markers and etc.

Tumour Markers (As add on upon request / if indicated)
Tumour markers are molecules detected in blood or tissue that can be associated with specific cancers. It is important to note that a negative result in tumor markers screening does not exclude cancer. However, a positive test indicates the necessity of a more comprehensive and formal screening to rule out cancer. Certain tumour markers may also be raised in other cancers. A formal referral to the oncologist would be indicated after counselling with our doctors.
- Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) can help in detecting liver cancer.
- Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) marker is often used in the staging and follow-up for patients with colorectal cancer.
- Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) is a protein found in prostate cells. This test is done to screen for prostate cancer.
- CA 19-9 marker can be used to detect protein molecules released most commonly by pancreatic cancer.
- CA 125 marker can be used to detect early ovarian cancer in individuals at risk.
- CA 153 marker is a protein produced by normal breast cells of which a high level may indicate the need to screen for breast cancer.
- Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) screening is used in individuals with family history of nasopharyngeal cancer.
